Why RAS is a path to the future?
Why RAS is a path to the future?
from ECO WATER China
Freshwater RAS is generally for high-value species. such as trout, shrimp, salmon, etc. Using RAS equipment to treat water quality, reduce pollution, improve production, optimize quality, and for off-season sales purposes.
The main purpose of the freshwater RAS is to control the temperature, oxygen solubility, ammonia nitrogen, nitrite, and other major factors in the water quality index within a reasonable range. After the filtration by the microfilter, the large particles of organic matter in the water have been completely filtered, and then they are passed through a relatively precise protein deplasticizer. Most of the solid particles are filtered out. The organic matter below 10 microns contains some beneficial algae and other substances. after the heat pump or chiller temperature treatment and then through the ultraviolet sterilizer. Fungi in the water, especially harmful bacteria and viruses, are killed. The water is then injected into the biofilter.
The dissolved oxygen system is generally based on the condition of the culture density. If the breeding density is not high, an ordinary fan and aeration pipe can be adequate. If the farming density is particularly high, pure oxygen can be used.
The system should not be a completely sterile environment. A completely sterile environment is lethal to aquatic life. Therefore, there is no need to pursue a completely sterile environment. However, it is very necessary to control harmful bacteria or viruses within a certain concentration to effectively reduce the incidence probability of aquatic organisms and make the system manageable. Therefore, a UV sterilizer is a better choice.
When designing a freshwater recirculating aquaculture system, ECO WATER will pay great attention to the cost of the system, such as power consumption. At the same time, by minimizing the pipe, you also minimize the water head drop. Equipment that reasonably reduces the waste of energy is also at the core of the system's design.
