Why oxygen is all we talk about?

If an aquaculture farm wants to achieve high yields and efficiency, no matter if it is in pond farming mode or RAS farming mode, it cannot do without one of the most basic and important conditions: oxygenation.
 

Aquatic life lives by breathing oxygen dissolved in water. Therefore, the dissolved oxygen in water is one of the key indicators for the survival of aquatic organisms. Generally speaking, 5-8 mg/L of dissolved oxygen is OK, and some varieties need 10–12 mg/L or even higher. The water's dissolved oxygen is sufficient, the fish body growth and metabolism are vigorous, the feed digestion time is greatly shortened, and the fish growth rate index shows an increasing trend. Sufficient dissolved oxygen can also improve the living environment of fish habitats and reduce the concentrations of ammonia, nitrogen, nitrite, hydrogen sulfide, and other toxic substances. If fish and shrimp live in water with insufficient dissolved oxygen, their physiques will decline, their disease resistance will decrease, their incidence will increase, and parasitic diseases are easy to spread in a low-oxygen environment.
 

Most farmers use nanotubes and aerators in pond farms, which are the most cost-effective and easy to operate. For average density, it is for now the best solution for oxygen.

I recommend using an ultrafine bubble generator and a pure oxygen dissolving oxygenator for higher densities. This combination is most suitable for high-density recirculating aquaculture. It can not only rapidly increase the dissolved oxygen in the water body to a supersaturated state, but it can also maintain the dissolved oxygen in the water body at no less than 7 ppm under high fish density conditions. The main reason is that the system is circulating water. The effect of oxygen dissolution is addictive. The dissolution of oxygen ultimately only provides the normal demand for aquatic fish, and the utilization rate is high. So the oxygen consumption is very small.
