Ecowater New RAS Farm
Ecowater New RAS Farm
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our latest aquaculture project - a sustainable tilapia farm in the Middle East utilizing a state-of-the-art Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS). As a leading company committed to innovative and sustainable approaches to aquaculture, we take great pride in delivering cutting-edge solutions that prioritize fish health and welfare, while minimizing water usage and environmental impact.
Our team of experts designed and constructed this RAS system using advanced technology, including roots blowers, oxygen generators, and oxygen cones to maintain optimal oxygen levels in the water. The filtration system consists of a 500m³/hour drum filter, biofilter tanks, UV, protein skimmers, an ozone generator, and a sand filter, ensuring that the water is treated and recycled for maximum efficiency.
The project site spans 2350 square meters and features 18 polypropylene (pp) tanks with a diameter of 8 meters and a height of 1.2 meters, which are ideally suited for intensive tilapia farming. With a breeding density of 90kg/m³, our system optimizes the use of tank space while ensuring optimal growth conditions for the fish. The tilapia are harvested at a market size of 500 grams, ensuring top-quality produce for our customers.
Thanks to our RAS system and advanced water treatment technologies, this project is expected to produce an annual output of 360 tons of tilapia, with a reduction in water consumption of 50-60% compared to traditional farming methods. This sustainable approach to aquaculture not only minimizes water usage but also reduces the impact on the environment, making it a socially responsible and economically viable project.
At Ecowater China, we are proud of our unwavering commitment to innovation and sustainability in aquaculture. This project showcases our mission to design and implement sustainable aquaculture systems that provide healthy produce while minimizing environmental impact. We look forward to continuing to lead the industry in innovative and sustainable approaches to aquaculture.
